1. Hinchinbrook Island: Several people have suggested the time of travel from Little Ramsey Bay to North Saddle should be listed as closer to 10 hours. Whether it is 7 or 10 hours depends on your party's pace and the weather conditions. If the boulders in Warrawilla Creek are wet then this will slow you down considerably. I have walked from Little Ramsey Bay to the summit of Mount Bowen in 3.5 hours carrying a day pack, so the ascent will also depend on the weight of your pack as well as your fitness. Nearing North Saddle the route steepens somewhat.

Note that all the times listed in the walking times sections for each area are the net walking times. This means that stops to look at views, have a rest or even have lunch are not included. These times must be added to the listed times which in many cases will extend them considerably. A walk listed as, say, six hours will probably take all day when rests and lunch breaks are added.
