Hinchinbrook Island is truly one of Australia's most spectacular islands.
A national park, it lies just off the north Queensland coast and is separated from it by a flooded river valley.
Hinchinbrook is a mountainous granite island - a continental island which rises to heights of over one thousand metres just a short distance from its sunny and sandy eastern shoreline.
The rocky form of the Prophet - a striking and sharp pillar of rock near the summit of North Peak - can be seen from many vantage points.
